What does the company do?

EADS Astrium is Europe's leading satellite system specialist.  Its activities cover complete civil and military telecommunications and earth observation systems, science and navigation programmes, and all spacecraft avionics and equipment.  Programmes include Inmarsat's giant I 4 telecommunications satellites, space science missions often in conjunction with the European Space Agency including Mars Express and Venus Express, and the European global navigation satellite system Galileo.
